Research Interests
Our laboratory is interested in the elucidation of extrinsic factors controlling muscle stem cell fate and function. In addition, we are evaluating the impact of the skeletal muscle secretome on distal organ and tissue function. For this latter work, we have been primarily focusing on the muscle-brain axis. However, we are interested in extending this work to better understand molecular communication mechanisms between muscle and bone.
Technique Expertise or Resources to share
skeletal muscle anatomic and functional testing, muscle stem cell isolation and characterization, extracellular vesicle isolation and characterization, biomarker discovery
